Giving it a 3 cause the individuals who work there are very nice. That being said this is 2nd time at blo and experiences haven’t been good in terms of results. No one knows how to actually give a good blow-dried volume look. I come out with flat dry and frizzy looking hair that does not look like I paid $60 for. Will not be utilizing this service again.

I am giving this place three stars because the staff there are so nice and the hairstyles I’ve gotten aren’t objectively bad, but I’ve been there twice and both times I did not get what I asked for. Both times I’ve visited I’ve wanted a blowout because that’s something that takes a lot of time to do, and both times I was told my hair was fine and wouldn’t hold a blowout all day and night. That’s totally fine, I appreciate the honesty…. But then both times I’ve gotten really curly ringlets put in and was told they’d fall out as night went on…. And they don’t look good. A blow out and full curls are such different hairstyles that it doesn’t even make sense to me why that would be a good recommendation. I think if the top of my hair was voluminous and straight and I had some bottom curls that would’ve been really pretty, but both times I had full ringlets starting from the top and by the end of the day I’m a wavy mess. ): Just a little disappointing when you spend your money on something to make yourself feel beautiful and then you feel like you could’ve gotten a better result at home. Also, why did no one put heat protectant in my hair? That was a bit odd to me as well. I didn’t like my hair when I walked out but I trusted the hair stylist knew what she was talking about when she said it would fall out nicely when I brushed it with my fingers and the night went on. I think maybe this place should avoid giving customers a hairstyle that doesn’t look like the final product or won’t hold in hopes of what it will eventually turn out to be. If a stylist doesn’t know how to style a clients hair type, they should just be honest and turn the client away or offer them styles that will hold and look good from the second they walk out the door so the client knows what they are going to end up with.

Horrible experience, my daughter attends Southridge and their grad was a little earlier than most schools. They only had two people working the day of, even though we had booked appointments ages ahead. My daughter was so upset, her curls were falling out as we were watching and the technician did nothing to help. I don’t really know what we paid 80 bucks for, I could’ve easily done the same at home. I took photos right when we left to document the falling out, it was ridiculous.

I was disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed by the staff. I had booked my appointment several days in advance, but received a call the day before asking if I could come in earlier. While I said I would try, I called on the day of the appointment to inform them that I would need to keep my original time. The individual I spoke with was unexpectedly rude and abruptly stated she ca no longer take me and cancelled my appointment, stating, “I will cancel your appointment. Have a nice day.”

This experience reflects a lack of professionalism and courtesy, and I would not recommend this establishment based on how the situation was handled.
